Reduce data usage

SQ used 140 MB in 2 Days :(

I didn't knew any sportstracker or location based game, which needs such a huge among of data.

Please reduce it (e.g. caching maps, compressing traffic and so on...)

Some ideas to reduce traffic:

  • Caching Images and maptiles
  • only loading maptiles if mapview is open
  • updating live Rankings only all 30 sec or let the user choose the Intervall in options

Thank you for the ideas. We'll work on it in the future, we know that this is a serious matter and there is a space for improvement in this area.

Live ranking is updated every 1 minute if it's closed but it's updated more frequent if it's opened. Users' images are cached already.
