I have android 4.1.1. I have rarely been able to play collecting starts

When I start the game of collecting stars takes too long to load the game, I have rarely been able to play since it does not appear on the map to start running. The app does not make any measures distance. By clicking the icon gps get a message "Current Location is unknown check the status of your gps" I tested the gps with waze and google map and it works perfectly. Could you help me?
